Alberta Electronic Reporting
By January 2007, all stationary sources in Alberta with CEMS must begin using Alberta Environment's new electronic reporting format.

The format was based originally on the U.S. EPA's AIRS format. Who better to provide an easy to use and highly automated solution than the company that supported 80% of the AIRS reporting sources?

Why Not a Distributed Control System (DCS) Implementation?

DCS implementations tend to involve higher costs for initial implementation and ongoing support. Most initial implementations so far have been running $60,000 to $100,000 by the time they are complete, while a turnkey installation from Maxxam/Agilaire, with training typically runs less than $30K. Agilaire will also follow changes in the Alberta requirements and provide them free of charge, compared to ongoing DCS modification charges (and the potential risk of losing the single developer/consultant usually involved in DCS projects).
