Serial / Drivers Instrument Drivers (E-DAS Ambient 5.50 and above) If you have E-DAS Ambient 5.50 and above, you can simplify the setup of digital data acquisition and collection of diagnostic parameters using the Digital Instrument Wizard. The files below can be copied into your DigitalInstrumentDrivers directory (usually located under C:\Program Files\E-DAS Ambient) and will appear automatically as a selection in the wizard. Be advised that the drivers are designed using the default device ID codes ("4" for R&P TEOMs and FRMs), and may require modification if your device ID does not use the default code. *** Update- July 2008 **** Added Climatronics AIO Driver and Application Note *** Update- February 2008 **** Update to 400E driver for latest API firmware *** Update- September 2007 **** Fixed error in Thermo 42C and 42i drivers for NO2 reading. *** Update- July 2007 **** Updated API drivers (200E, 400E) for latest API firmware revisions. I-series Modbus drivers under testing as well. *** Update- January 2007 **** Fix made to TEOM driver for flow reading. *** Update- October 2006 **** Sunset Labs BOC Driver Added- see application notes for additional details. Credit to Paul Nichols, State of Maine for this driver! Optec NGN-2A Driver Added. *** Update- September 2006 **** Looking for drivers for black carbon / organic carbon monitors or aethelometers? These devices tend to be a little particular with respect to the number of beams/wavelengths used, but they are available for Magee, Sunset Labs, and Optec monitors. Click here to get more information. *** Update- March 16, 2006 **** We have identified some issues with the Thermo 49C (ozone) analyzer and how it interfaces serially to the Model 8816 and Model 8832 data loggers. As the response from the analyzer for the base ozone reading is just "o3" with no other discriminators, it isn't easy for the 8816/8832 to distinguish whether to get ready to receive the ozone reading, or if the analyzer is going to send "o3 bkgd" or "o3 coef" data. Download The Latest Drivers Be advised that many drivers have not been QA's against all versions of analyzers out there, and that there are undocumented quirks in some of the protocols. All drivers should, for now, be tested in a lab setting before field use. Note that use of the NOy driver requires changing the default ID from "42" to "40" to avoid confusion with other analyzers.
